We are offering two free ‘taster lessons’ at the New Melville Bridge Club in Edinburgh, to introduce new players to the game and how it is played.
You will be welcomed into the club, offered a hot or cold drink and given a quick introductory talk on how we organise our tuition and club events. Then it’s off to the tables for a game of mini-bridge, which is bridge without bidding.
The sessions will be fun and designed for people considering learning bridge. No prior experience with card playing is necessary, and neither is it necessary to bring a partner. We look forward to welcoming you and introducing you to this fascinating and engaging game, where new skills are always being learned and people to practice with are always available.
Playing bridge is a great way to socialise with new people!
Do I need any experience?
No previous experience is necessary, the lessons start with basics of the game.
Do I need a partner?
You do not have to learn with a partner; you will have plenty of people to play with.
Is Bridge fun to play?
Bridge is challenging, fun and social, that’s why it is so addictive.
You do not need to stay for the full duration of these sessions. Both sessions cover the same ground, so choose the one that suits you best.
